My English interpretation

You took a trip back home, but it didn’t feel like home, did it? Nope. It wasn’t how you remembered it. Nothing is how it once was. It was far too quiet and way too small. It wasn’t how you remember it. Not even close. It felt like a relic, and not in a good way.

You don’t remember much about the last time you were here. But there’s one thing you’ll never forget. The last time you were here, she was with you.

It had become something you didn’t recognize, and it didn’t recognize you either. It was far too quiet and far too small, but the worst part was realizing you weren’t the same person you were the last time you were here.

You wish you could wish it away, but you know that this place is no longer for you. It’s not what it used to be, and you’re not either. It’s not only that you can’t hang around; it’s that you gotta get the fuck out as quick as you can.

The second thing you felt was how everything had changed. The third thing you felt was how lonely it was. “Home” had lost its meaning.

And you know exactly why, and that is also why it hurt. It killed you because the last time you were here, she was still by your side. And that made you realize how much you still missed her.

You hadn’t been back here in forever, and the last time you were here, she was with you. Now you can’t go two steps without someone asking about her. Every last person has the same questions. That’s all they want to know.
